Two indoor-air jobs get sold hardest in a humid state: humidity control and UV lights. The EPA's position on both is narrower than most sales pages. Humidity should stay under 60 percent, ideally 30 to 50 percent (EPA mold and moisture guide), and the EPA calls source control and ventilation the most effective ways to improve indoor air (EPA air cleaner guide).
Dehumidifier installation covers when a dehumidifier is the right fix and when the AC or its drain is the real problem. Indoor air quality and UV lights covers what the EPA says UV lamps can and cannot do in a home. Neither page has a price, because we do not have enough homeowner-reported quotes to state one.
